"Last Lions have established themselves as one of the country’s most promising emerging acts." - Happy Mag.

Last Lions first formed in early 2014 by high school mates Michael Slitenbachs, Daniel Collens and Josh Philbey, with Mike's younger brother Nicholas Slitenbachs on drums. The quartet cut their teeth playing regularly at friend's backyard parties, local talent shows, and most notably at legendary Perth all ages venue YMCA HQ. By 2016, the band had released a handful of DIY demos, and had built up enough of a fan base through playing at HQ so frequently, that they were landing support slots for the likes of Luca Brasi, Tired Lion, Gnarwolves, Hawthorne Heights, Mest, As It Is, Moose Blood, and played a set at the all ages music festival Hyperfest, playing alongside Northlane, Ball Park Music, Trophy Eyes, and DZ Deathrays among others.

After replacing Philbey with Michael's uni mate Ella Munro in 2017, LL took out first place in the Carine Tavern's Battle of the Bands, which allowed the group to release their debut single and music video, "The Sky Was Black." The single reached #3 on the Triple J Unearthed Punk chart, and was voted in at 4th place in Live and Local 89.7fm's Top 20 WA Songs of 2017 listener poll. With this attention, they embarked on their first regional WA tour, and were able to land support slots for British India, The Bennies, Horror My Friend, West Thebarton and Pist Idiots. 2018 has seen Last Lions welcome new drummer Jake Diffen, release the first 2 singles from their upcoming debut EP, embark on their second regional WA tour, and win over crowds at their electrifying single launch shows in Perth and Fremantle.

In March 2019, Last Lions will release their debut EP "Stop Killing Each Other," and embark on their first ever national tour. Dates are as follows:
